Extensive experience representing issuers and underwriters in a variety of public and private offerings, including IPOs, PIPEs, SPACs and shelf registrations, and exchange offerings involving equity and taxable and tax-exempt debt. Ben is a CPA with over 10 years’ experience in public accounting. Ben has two degrees from Texas A & M University. One is in Information Technology (IT) and the other is in Accounting. He began his career as a database administrator for the Texas Agricultural Extension Service managing several web enabled databases covering employees and support personnel in 254 different counties in Texas. Ben developed and maintained the databases and the web portal for these and also worked for an IT consulting company on weekends doing general IT and database consulting. This gave him a solid background in IT and Database systems and allows him the ability to understand complicated information systems and IT internal controls.
Upon completion of his Accounting degree he began his Accounting career with Grant Thornton LLP and spent five months doing forensic accounting and SEC reporting and financial restatement for HealthSouth in Birmingham, Alabama.
Michael Sexton is an experienced professional Cannabis Cultivator. He has been successfully cultivating cannabis for over 11 years, where his specialty is Genetics and Cultivation. He is also a combat deployed U.S. Marine with a bachelor’s degree who founded a veteran’s organization and a Division II chess team at Shepherd University, while graduating a year ahead of schedule. He is an accomplished and motivated advocate with exceptional attention to detail, organizational and prioritization skills, and the tireless work ethic to expertly bring top notch product to market in any facility.
Mr. Sexton has cultivated professionally and successfully in every medium and scenario to include outdoors (both in and above ground); indoor commercial structures, and green houses. He has used both soil & hydroponics, and has experience with inert material ranging from Co-Co to Rockwool. In short, he has done nearly everything one can do with this plant.
He is a published cannabis advocate as well as a current contributor to the Cannabis Business Times (CBT) as a technical advisor. He also serves on the CBT board of editors.
